Fighting Acne is Easy With These Tips

Most people would agree that dealing with acne is a pain. Most people try to hide the acne that they suffer from. Most people see acne is something that they should grow out of after puberty. Taking care of your skin is the only real way to keep your pores unclogged and to keep acne at bay. Believe it or not there are some adults whose acne is so bad they feel like they have never left puberty! Here are some ways to help you keep the acne from invading. Keep reading to find out how you can keep your face clean and clear!

Take it easy on your face when you wash it. Do not scrub your face! Scrubbing can leave your face open for pore clogging agents. Scrubbing might feel good initially but it actually does quite a lot of harm to the very sensitive skin on your face! You don’t want to have scrubbing scars do you? You need to have a firm but gentle touch when you wash your face. This sounds harder than it actually is. A bright red face is not the goal! Looking a little flushed is okay, but bright red is not. Go for the glow, not the stoplight effect.

Your hands should not touch your face if you can help it. Most people don’t realize how much time their hands spend on their faces every day. It is partly all of this touching that helps to clog our pores and cause breakouts. Think back. Every time you touch something and then touch your face you are transporting some of that item into your facial pores. Touching your face is a great way to clog your pores with the oil and other things your hands have touched during the day. This is why it is so easy to catch the flu from other people because your hands touch objects that people with the flu have touched and then transfer those germs straight to your face when you rest your face on your hands! This is why you should try not touch your face with your hands.

Keeping your hands clean is a must if you can’t make yourself stop touching your face. This means that you should wash your hands often.

Natural acne remedies are another option if you suffer from breakouts. Have you ever tried using toothpaste on a zit before? Put some toothpaste on your zits or pimples after they formed and then leave them alone overnight. Lock the pets out of the bedroom overnight so that they won’t try to taste the toothpaste or lick it off of your face and in the morning your zit will be a lot smaller than it was-it might even be gone! You might also try using egg whites in your facial cleanser and as a zit reducer. Either make a face mask from the egg whites and leave it on over night or dab some egg white onto a pimple with a q-tip.

There is a wide variety of treatments available to people who suffer from acne. Some people swear by harsher cleansers while others opt for natural remedies. Some people find that treating acne is as easy as getting into a regular exercise routine and eating a natural and balanced diet. It might take some time before you find the remedy that works best for you. Eventually you will learn what works for you and what won’t. Keep trying and before you know it your skin will be acne free!
